I came across this prototype injection molded Y-Wing bomb and noticed that it is a 2-piece design much like the vintage 1983 release. However, it is marked with a "B" on the wing where the vintage is marked with an "A". The modern Y-Wing fighters were rehashed from 1983 design but the production bombs appear to only be available in a 1-piece design. So I am wondering if this is a modern unreleased version? I am hoping someone may have some more info on this. @Inkstar

& lastly here are all of the Bomb First Shots lined up in order.
1983 "B" - Black with different connector design and missing the small triangle pieces from the bottom.
1983 "A" - White with revised connector design.
1999 "B" - Dark Maroon with the revised connector design.
1999 "A" - Top only.
1999 "A" - Production version.
I wonder where this wound up??
Here is an interesting conceptual mockup for the Y-Wing Fighter. The box and inserts are completely handmade. The y-wing itself features the vintage style sculpt with a modern paint deco. The pilot and R2 unit appeared to be hand-painted as well.
Here we have an EP dated 1999 on the left and the production version on the right. There are many slight paint color and deco differences as well as different plastic colors for some of the components. In this case it is marked with an "A."
This one is also dated 1983 but the R2 Unit is present on this one. In this case it is marked with an "A."
This one is dated 1983 and it is marked with a "B." The connecting piece is entirely different on this one but I'm not familiar with the Vintage version so I don't know if it's the same as that one.
I have some info on this as I have pieces in multiple stages of the Y-Wing pre-production process. Let me look at the pictures I took and share what I've gathered.
